Renewing Your Strength

Thought for the week:
Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40:31

Leaped for Joy Today?

“So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life-- your sleeping, eating, going to work, and walking-around life -- and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity.

Romans 12:1,2 The Message

Have you leaped for joy today? Do you really stop to think that God is in control of life? That He has a purpose for you. If you did you would know that He does! All He ask from us is to lay our trials before Him on a daily basis. By doing this, you can begin to realize how your life will quickly change. He desires to bring us joy. He longs to be right in the middle of every thing. All we must learn to do is to leave it there!

Sometimes, however, that can be easier said than done. There are many circumstances that can throw us away from where we need to be. Still, once we have begun to see the “need,” we can then begin to change within ourselves. It becomes amazing to watch how God can take that soul and turn it inside out. The transformation is unbelievable. That is what God desire’s most for us!

Once the change has begun in our lives, we can see things more clearly. We can then recognize the joy that God can bring because we have learned to trust in Him. This allows us to “fix our attention on God!” While doing so, you can begin to realize the directions or plans He has for you. The sooner you can recognize the plans or directions you can begin to act on them. This will ultimately bring you to a much closer relationship with Him.

When the relationship has begun to develop, we can see how we are maturing in Him. This will allow us to experience His joy! When we follow the plan that God has chosen for our lives, we can then experience unmeasurable joy!

“You have put more joy in my heart than they have when their grain and wine abound.” Psalm 4:7 ESV

With Every Tear I Cry

Often time in our lives we have become overwhelmed with despair in our life. Yet, it has caused us to wonder, Does God Really Care? Yes, God does care. I believe that the moment you are in despair or struggling is the moment that God is trying to speak to you. It is in that moment at times when we choose not to listen to Him. I have good news for you, however!

God is a loving God. He desires on the best things for us. I am also proud to tell you that he holds every tear drop in a bottle. He longs to protect us and to give us comfort in those moments we feel alone.

"You number my wanderings; Put my tears into Your bottle; Are they not in Your book?"
Psalms 56:8NKJV

Is your heart breaking? Do you feel alone? Can’t seem to find God anywhere? If you have answered yes to any of these questioned then you might feel like the Psalmist wrote.

“My is serverely pained within me, and the terrors of death have fallen upon me. Fearfulness and trembling have come upon me, and horror has overwhelmed me. So I said, “Oh, that I had wings like a dove! I would fly away and be at rest. Indeed, I would wander far off, and remain in the wilderness. Selah Psalm 55:4-7NKJ

I can honestly tell you many times in my own life I have felt just like the Psalmist. Still, I am grateful to know that because I know the Lord as my Savior, He has helped me to overcome those feelings I once felt. It is a nice feeling to know that God keeps every tear I cry. He holds them in His hands. I don’t know what I would do without that. Do you?

If you are a Christian then you should know the comfort I am talking about. It is a blessing to receive this. If you are not a Christian and do not know Christ as your Savior and Lord then I take this moment to ask you, Will you? Will you come to know this Savior I am talking about! He is a wonderful, kind and caring individual. I love to call Him my Savior. It brings peace to my heart. I long to know Him more. Yet, I am grateful He will hold each tear in His hands.

Nothing can compare to that feeling. A feeling of having the almighty Savior cherish each tear that falls down my face. It drips into His bottle and is safe with Him. I ask you today that if you don’t know this Savior I am talking about then please come to know Him today. Let Him take hold of every pain in your heart and every tear you cry. He will then guide you safely to a place of rest and peace. May God Bless you in all you do!

If you don’t know this God I am referring to and would love the opportunity to get to know Him. Then I invite you to take a moment a say this simple prayer. This prayer will enable you to receive His love and the peace He can bring to your life. I pray this is your desire today. To know Him and to love Him!"

Heavenly Father, have mercy on me, a sinner. I believe in you and that your word is true. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God and that he died on the cross so that I may now have forgiveness for my sins and eternal life. I know that without you in my heart my life is meaningless.

I believe in my heart that you, Lord God, raised Him from the dead. Please Jesus forgive me, for every sin I have ever committed or done in my heart, please Lord Jesus forgive me and come into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior today. I need you to be my Father and my friend.

"Hear my prayer, O Lord, and give ear to my cry; Do not be silent at my tears; for I am a stranger with You, a sojourner, as all my fathers were. Remove Your gaze from me, that I may regain strength, before I go away and am no more." Psalm 39:12,13

Seed Sower

I love the summer time! I love being out in my yard and tending to my roses and such. It has always interested me to watch plants as they start from a seed and grow beautifully into a flourished flower or vegetable. Yet, that is the same way that God works with us!

From the moment we accept Christ as our Savior, it is then that we become like the seed. It will take time for us to be taught and planted firm into the word of God and with Christ Himself! As we grow like the seed, we learn to cultivate and devour our lifestyle to be just like Christ. We have become willing to grow and to trust in God.

Yet, as we grow we don’t always get what God wants for us to learn. It is then that we become wayward from God and fall downward. We fall away from the God’s love and understanding. At times, it will feel as though God has moved away while we are caught in those moments. I have heard a pastor say it like this and have to agree with him. “It is not God that falls away from us…It is us that fall away from them!” I love that as it reminds me where I stand with God.

Once we find who we are God and began to get on the right path with God, we find that we grow stronger! We become vital and began to flourish with Christ in our lives! Isn’t it amazing how God is always there for us? He has never left us and is always with us.
**********************************  "Listen! Behold, a sower went out to sow. "And it happened, as he sowed, that some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds of the air came and devoured it. "Some fell on stony ground, where it did not have much earth. "But when the sun was up it was scorched, and because it had no root it withered away. "And some seed fell among thorns; and the thorns grew up and choked it, and it yielded no crop. "But other seed fell on good ground and yielded a crop that sprang up, increased and produced; some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred."
Mark 4:3-8 NKJV
